New Born Baby Gift
What better way to celebrate the birth of a baby than by introducing
the baby’s family to the Foundation for Early Learning! By making a
gift to the Foundation for Early Learning, you will be supporting early
learners throughout Washington as we work to make sure all children are
ready for school.
The family will receive a colorful card from the Foundation informing them that a gift has been made in their honor. For a gift of $50.00 or more, we will send a packet of goodies all tied up with ribbon that contains information for the parents who will assume the role of being their child’s first and most important teachers!
Our packet contains:
- 10 Simple Ways to Encourage Learning- our most popular booklet that provides parents with ways to support early learning.
- The Scientist in the Crib
– a popular book authored by Foundation board member, Dr. Andrew
Meltzoff , his wife, Dr. Pat Kuhl, and Dr. Alison Gopnick. These
cognitive scientists have written a book that provides the reader with
fascinating information about how babies learn and how parents
naturally teach.
- Keys to Caregiving booklets, developed by Nursing Child Assessment Satellite Training (NCAST)
- BabyCue Cards: A Child’s First Language, developed by NCAST-AVENUW Program
- ParentMap’s Family Directory
- 100 Books Every Child Should Hear Before Starting School, from the King County Library System
- A soft cuddly toy Boeing airplane – while supplies last!
