Department of Early Learning (DEL) Adopts New Background Check Rules

On April 30, 2008, the Department of Early Learning (DEL) adopted new WAC chapter 170-06, DEL Background Check Rules.

The rules will take effect on May 31, 2008.The permanent rules replace emergency background check rules that have been in place while DEL completed the rule adoption process. DEL also adopted changes to the child care licensing WAC chapters for child care centers, family home child care, and school-age child care to make those rules consistent with the new background check WAC.
