In these economic hard times, some families struggle to provide enough food for kids to eat. During the summer, it can be especially hard as families don’t have free and reduced-cost school meals to help fill the gap.

A federal school nutrition program provides free meals and snacks during the summer in select locations to ALL kids (18 years and younger – regardless of income).
WithinReach can help families find available Summer Meals Sites across Washington:
  • Use the Summer Meals Site search tool
  • Call the Family Food Hotline (1-888-436-6392) for help in any language
  • Other Food Resources are available on ParentHelp123.org and by calling the Family Food Hotline that may improve economic stability including:
    • Basic Food (Food Stamps)
    • WIC Food
    • Banks (across Washington)

ParentHelp123.org users can screen themselves and apply online for state food benefits and search for a Food Bank online. Callers to the Family Food Hotline will be screened for program eligibility over the phone and receive state benefit applications by mail.
