Labels For Education Child Care Grants

The Foundation for Early Learning is pleased to announce that the thirteenth round of grants for child care providers to purchase items through the Campbell’s Soup Company’s Labels for Education ™ program. For more than 6 years the partnership of Campbell’s Soup Company, Costco Wholesale Corporation and the Foundation for Early Learning has been awarding Labels for Education Child Care Grants to child care providers throughout Washington state. These grants allow selected applicants to obtain materials, classroom equipment and other items listed in the Early Childhood section using up to 50,000 labels in credit.
 
The Labels for Education Child Care Grants program supports child care providers offering high quality early learning experiences to children birth to five in Washington state. In order to be eligible to apply, all providers must be licensed and serving young children (birth to 5). Providers eligible for 2008 grants are located in King and Snohomish counties. Priority will be given to child care providers that have:

• participated in Washington Scholarships for Child Care Professionals in the past three years OR
• worked towards or completed a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate in the past 5 years OR
• worked towards or completed an Early Childhood Education program degree program in the past 5 years OR
• accessed Child Care Resource and Referral’s Resource Team for services AND have completed their required 10 hours of STARS training for the year 2007-2008.
  

To Apply

To apply for a Labels for Education Child Care Grant, please submit all application materials (pgs. 1-3) along with a copy of your license from the Department of Early Learning, to the Foundation for Early Learning as attached word documents, via email OR printed and mailed in paper copy by August 22, 2008.
