Conferences and Presentations
The Foundation for Early Learning provides grants of $500-$5000 for a variety of in-person or electronic conferences and presentations that support Getting School Ready! To be considered, conferences and presentations must be designed to do one of the following:
- Provide professional development opportunities for early learning professionals;
- Improve access to information that supports parents and other caregivers in optimizing the social, emotional, cognitive, linguistic and brain development of young children;
To be eligible, applications must:
- Focus on services or educational opportunities that benefit children aged birth to five in Washington
- Involve a minimum of two eligible organizations;
- Designate a lead organization that is responsible for oversight and management of grant funds that is a:
- Governmental agency, public school or university;
- Tribal organization with IRC 7871 status; or
- Non-profit secular or religious organization with 501(c)(3) status, with programs intended to benefit non-members as well as members.
- Include only organizations that have non-discriminatory policies with regard to race, color, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, political ideology, age, creed, religion, heritage, ancestry, national origin or sensory, mental, or physical ability.
- Include a list of members of organization boards or relevant governing bodies.
- Include a budget for the event which includes line items such as those in this Sample Budget.
Proposals that include merging or alignment of previously existing conferences or events to realize system integration goals and/or administrative and travel expense efficiencies will be prioritized.
